Cliff has earned the Certified Club Manager (CCM) and the Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designations from the Club Management Association of America. These designations require over 10 years of study, 700+ hours of education, certificates from Cornell, Michigan State, Univ. of Houston, Cal Poly, Georgia State and the Harvard Club. Less than 10% of club managers obtain these designations during their careers. Prior to his roles in club management, he was the Dir. of Golf at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club where he was named Carolinas PGA Professional of the Year and was twice nominated National PGA Professional of the Year. Cliff also received the Carolinas PGA Merchandiser of the Year and was awarded the Bill Strausbaugh Club Relations Award. He has also served as the Tournament Coordinator for the SENIOR Tour Championship for six years.
Cliff has a long history of volunteering for various organizations within his community. Previously, he served on the Carolinas PGA Board, Coastal Carolina University Professional Golf Management Board, Chair of Slazenger Golf USA Professional Advisory Board, and the Myrtle Beach Heart Association Board. Locally, he has served as Chairman of Visit High Point, Vice Chair of the Salvation Army of High Point, High Point University Board of Visitors and Special Gifts Chairman for the United Way of Greater High Point. Cliff is from Boone, NC and played golf on the highly rated golf team at Wake Forest University before turning professional. He lives in Greensboro with his wife Alyssa and their daughter Victoria. His son, Robert, is in Special Forces with the United States Army.
