Eric Kirkeeng began his position as Executive Chef at HPCC in 2015. Eric’s culinary experience is extensive and includes a previous stint at HPCC from 2009-2011. He previously was a Partner & Executive Chef at OMBU Wood Fired Fusion restaurant in Winston Salem in addition to previously serving as Executive Chef of numerous restaurants, resorts and hotels including Noble's Grille in W-S; Jury’s Washington Hotel in DC; Waterford at Fairoaks, Fairfax, VA and Orange Tree Golf Resort, Scottsdale, AZ. He also served as Banquet Chef for the ITT Sheraton in Chicago.

Eric received a Certificate in Kitchen Science & Restaurant Management from the Scottsdale Culinary Institute in 1990 and has served locally as the Co-Chair of the GTCC Culinary School Advisory Board since 2014. He also formerly served in the US Navy Reserves. Eric lives with his wife Darla in Winston-Salem, where they are both significant advocates for the Forsyth Humane Society. Their daughter, Katie, is a student at Appalachian State University.
