Scott McLain

Dining and Beverage Manager

Scott was born in the South Carolina Lowcountry and in the early 90s began his food and beverage journey in Charleston, South Carolina at marquee establishments like Magnolias and McCrady’s. He then ventured to Napa Valley and worked at Mustard's Grill in Yountville. In 1999 he moved back east, perhaps a little too far north, but worked in Manhattan for the Millennium. After a short stay in Manhattan, Scott moved back to the Lowcountry. In 2005, when his daughter started kindergarten he decided to make Greensboro his home and has worked locally at Starmount Forest Country Club, The Village Tavern, Green Valley Grill and Print Works Bistro. Scott has a passion for exceeding dining expectations by anticipating needs and has an extensive knowledge of wine and food parings. Furthermore, he is committed to pursuing his sommelier certification.

He married the love of his life, Cori, in 2010. He has two children, an adult daughter Gracen and a teen son Jon. He is also an unaffiliated ordained minister and has officiated several weddings. As part of their commitment to the community, in 2018, Scott and Cori started the Junebug4hearts fundraiser to benefit the American Heart Association in memory of his mother. This event became the largest community fundraiser in Guilford County for the AHA in 2018, 2019 and 2021.
